Ivanovo region textile industry enterprises manufacture more than 40% of all-Russian production yarn volume and more than 70% of total volume fabrics production in the country. The contribution of textile industry for Ivanovo region comes to one third of total production volume within processing industries (33, 4%). The comparison of this part with other manufacturing textile regions activities emphasizes once more the uniqueness of Ivanovo region, as an appropriate indicator value for it exceeds tenfold the average value throughout base textile regions (3, 6%) and thirty threefold — the average value throughout Russia (1, 1%).
The range of textile goods, manufacturing by Ivanovo region enterprises almost 90% is represented by chintz, cotton sheeting and gauze kinds of fabrics. At the same time Russian textile market and sewing goods at present time is extremely attractive and increases annually overheat, which appreciated by European experts within 15-20%. According to the data of Federal State Statistics Service, import volume of textile goods into Russian Federation annually comes to more than 8, 5 milliard US dollars. Textile goods, produced with using synthetic fibers and threads predominate within import.
The world consumption analysis of different kinds of fibers shows that steady tendency of volume reduction consumption of natural origin fibers and sharp increase consumption of polyester staple and threads and also polypropylene fibers and threads occurs. In prospect consumption fibers part, per head, will change in favor of synthetic and first of all to polyester (38% within general structure consumption of textile fibers) and polypropylene (12%), consumption of cotton will reduce (32%), wool (2, 0%) and other fibers (about 6, 7%).
Textile — industrial cluster development of Ivanovo region, which is one of key tasks, sets a transition as an object to new assortment policy, at the heart of which is using chemical fibers and threads, which equally with cotton and linen fiber can be regarded as basic kinds of raw materials for textile industry.
The construction of integrated synthetic fibers and threads plant on the territory of Ivanovo region will provide the building complex of new textile enterprises, specialized in innovative goods manufacturing of special and technical purpose with using of polyester fibers and threads.
The project realization will provide:
- increasing of yarn manufacturing up to 200 000 tons per annum;
- manufacturing of 200 000 tons short- staple yarn per annum;
- manufacturing of 100 000 tons PET - pellets;
- increasing of fabrics manufacturing, made of synthetic fibers up to 1, 5 milliard square meters.
As a result of project realization more than 2000 new workplaces will be created. The creation of workplaces within related branches and logistics and transport branch can come to from 100 000 up to 200 000.
The estimated cost of project is more than 8 milliard rubles.
The construction of plant is planned to begin in 2013.
Currently, the management company of the project «Textile cluster Corporation «Ivregionsintez «together with the engineering firm EPC Engineering Consulting GmbH (Germany) conducted exploratory and design work.
The presentation of construction project of integrated synthetic fiber plant on the territory of Ivanovo region will be within the bounds of business program holding VI International textile — industrial forum «Golden ring» from the 2nd till the 3d of September, 2011 in Plyoss town.
